Definitions
1a. Limelite Lighting ltd is the Company and owner of all equipment.
1b. The "Hirer" is the Company, Firm, Person or Corporation taking Limelite Lighting equipment on rental and including their successors or personal representatives.
1c. The "Equipment" is all those items rented by Limelite Lighting to the Hirer including spares, cabling, connectors, covers and any other equipment delivered with the main items of the Equipment.
The Renter shall:
2a. Use the Equipment only for the purpose for which it is designed (and for the job and in the venues agreed) and shall not permit it to be overloaded and shall not without the previous consent of the Owner in writing make any alteration to the Equipment.
2b. All Equipment must be used in it proper manner and the hirer shall maintain the Equipment to the standard it was received in (fair wear and tear only excepted).
2c. Any damages caused to equipment whiles in possession of the hirer (once left the premises of Limelite) are payable on demand. The cost of putting the equipment in such condition appearance and state of repair whether or not such damage was occasioned by its own act or default.
2d. The Hirer may Not (except with the written consent of the Owner) sell or offer for sale, lend or in any way part with the Equipment. The hirer shall keep the Equipment in its own possession (legal and physical).
The Renter also shall not allow the Equipment to be seized or taken out of its control or possession under any distress, execution or other legal process but if any of the Equipment is so seized or taken the Renter will forthwith notify the Owner against all losses, costs, charges, damages and expenses by reason or in respect thereof (and while the Equipment is in the possession of some person other than the Renter by reason of seizure or other act mentioned above then the full rental rate shall be chargeable as if the Equipment were in the Renter's possession).
2e. No account holders must pay for the Equipment, on delivery. Account holders must pay 50% on the signing of the delivery agreement and 50% within 30 days of completion of the rental period, the total amount.
2f. Ensure the return of the Equipment on the date of termination of rental to Limelite Lighting, any late returns that have not been agreed by Limelite Lighting are chargeable at the full rental rate not with standing the Owner's right to greater damages for such default in the event of greater loss.
2g. In the event of any loss or damage to the Equipment the hirer must pay to Limelite Lighting any costs of replacement and/or repair.
2h. If the Equipment is involved in any accident resulting in injury to person or persons or damage to property, immediate notice must be given to the Owner at its trading address.
2i. All equipment must be insured by the hirer to cover any eventuality involving equipment hired from Limelite Lighting.
3. Limelite Lighting shall not be liable to the Renter for any loss liability claim or proceedings in respect of any injury, loss or damage or whatsoever nature and howsoever caused arising out of or in connection with the Equipment. The Hirer shall indemnify Limelite Lighting against any claims made or proceedings brought against Limelite lighting in respect of any injury, loss or damage whatsoever occurring at any time or times before physical possession of the Equipment is recovered by Limelite Lighting arising out of or in connection with the Equipment.
Limelite Lighting shall:
4a. To his best endeavour make good, repair or replace any item of the Equipment which is proved to be faulty in operation.
4b. Not be responsible for any consequential loss or damage incurred through Equipment breakdown.
5. The Agreement between Limelite Lighting and the Hirer shall be subject to the availability of the designated Equipment, Limelite Lighting have the right to change requested equipment to that it feels is similar.
The Hirer hereby declares:
6a. That he or she is eighteen years of age or more.
6b. That he or she is legally authorised to enter into this Agreement on his or her own behalf or on behalf of other individuals or a limited company.
7. This Agreement is personal to the Hirer and may not be assigned by him or her to any other person or company without the express written consent of Limelite Lighting.
The Hirer shall and hereby agrees:
8a. That he or she will not take the Equipment outside Great Britain without first notifying Limelite Lighting as to the destination of the Equipment and the period it is to remain outside Great Britain and obtaining the written permission to do so from Limelite Lighting.
8b. To pay to Limelite Lighting any extra costs incurred by Limelite Lighting in insuring the Equipment for the period that the Equipment is outside Great Britain.
9. No neglect, delay or indulgence on the part of Limelite Lighting in enforcing the terms and conditions of this Agreement shall prejudice the strict rights of the Owner hereunder or be construed as a waiver thereof.
Health & Safety
Health and Safety is a big factor in the entertainment industry.
Limelite Lighting operates under the guidance of BS 7909.
